Shri shivaji education society Amravati, is the
foundation society, which runs this College. this Society was established
in 1932 at Amravati 70 years ago by dr. Panjabrao Alias Ahausaheb
Deshmukh. Now the society is managing more than 269 institutions
of different faculties including senior colleges, junior colleges,
secondary schools ,pre and primary schools, Hostels ,Engineering
colleges, Medical college , Polytechnic colleges etc. and more than
1,10,940 students taking education also had more than 5,450 employee,
having budget near to small state of India.
The Maharastra Government and Rastrasant Tukdoji
Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur granted the permission to this
society to start the SCIECE COLLEGE, PAUNI, DIST. BHANDARA from
the session 1988-89. It is a non-profit education institution is
unique and a center of excellence base for high quality education.
It aim to foster creativity, innovative and analytical ability through
personality development with an appropriate blende of Indian Ethos
and to foster a sense of hard work, commitment, devotion, discipline
and nationalism in an aesthetic and cultural atmosphere matching
global standards. It has distinguished and committed faculty, well
equipped classrooms, UGC-NRC, library with over 3997 volumes and
Journals, office automization. A well established placement and
career development division to facilitate and assist it’s
students in proper placement. It’s alumni hold senior position
in Government and private sector. College recived permanent
affiliation in session 2005-2006 for the subject Comp. English,
Comp. Marathi, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany and Zoology.
College came under UGC 2(F) and 12 (B). Also faced NAAC and accridited
at C level
In addition to traditional basic science subject,
the institution opened new applied subjects like Computer Science,
which is great demand of locality. From the next session in addition
to regular course of Biology, college will start parallel UGC finance
course ,“Local Herb and their products. Further
we are making effort to start some job oriented courses such as
Microbiology, Environmental science etc.
The students have a unique role to play in ensuring
quality of higher education institution. First the student should
realize that they have the right for quality education and it is
the responsibility of the higher education institution to provide
the quality educational experience to learners. Secondly the students
should equally be aware of their responsibilities, which in turn
will help the institution to provide quality education. This means
that the students should demand quality education and demonstrate
their commitment to quality education by accepting their responsibilities.
